Max Cruise Marine 48SC
Max 48SC was designed for speed, comfort & versatility. It’s a sleek, agile catamaran that is capable of high mileage days with a smooth, stable ride-perfect for long distance cruiser.
She features asymmetric hulls for optimised sailing performance, resin-infused foam core construction, solar and hybrid-ready systems and expansive living spaces with panoramic views.
Background
MaxCruise Marine specialises in building high-performance, semi-custom sailing catamarans that blend innovation, speed, and luxury.
Their yachts are constructed using resin-infused technology for lightweight durability and higher efficiency. MaxCruise Marine also offers options for self-build using their 3D modular (3DM) moulded sets delivered worldwide. However, most of the yachts are built professionally in their Vietnam facility.
The 48SC is designed for high mileage days offshore. Its lightweight construction and aerodynamic design give it good sailing efficiency. The asymmetrically designed hulls reduce drag and improve stability, allowing for smooth handling in various sea conditions.
The 48SC is available with mini-keels or daggerboards.
The most popular configuration is a mid-raised swing helm on the starboard side. There is, however, an option for aft helms and a forward working cockpit.
The boat is set up with a mainsail, an overlapping genoa and a self tacking staysail.

The deck layout of the 48SC is designed with functionality and comfort in mind. It has spacious areas for relaxation and socialising, as well as efficient setups for sail handling. The integration of solar power options and electric propulsion options underlines the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Living Space

Inside, the 48SC offers a spacious and elegant interior. The large salon is complemented by customisable layouts and premium finishes, allowing owners to tailor the living spaces.
The design is all about comfort without compromising on performance, making it ideal for extended voyages or liveaboard owners.
Up top in the saloon is a big L-Shaped dining table that sits between the galley and forward-facing nav station. This can also be configured as an extendable coffee table.
It’s an open design that connects the aft cockpit and the saloon.
At the back of the saloon there is an option for a bar that separates the two zones, or you can open it right up so that the port side flows into an L-Shaped sofa. There is an aft bench and a starboard bench in the cockpit.
The guest hull is on the port side with a queen aft and a double forward. There is an option for a foldaway berth that allows you to use the space as an office or workspace. In the owner’s version, the queen berth is aft with a big shower room and head forward.
Custom Options
One of the advantages of the MaxCruise 48SC is the number of custom options that this manufacturer offers. You can specify a raised helm, or aft helms, swing helm(s), you can configure the boat with mini keel or daggerboards
