The New Fountaine Pajot 41

There were many launches and announcements at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival, and one of the biggest news stories over the week was the announcement from Fountaine Pajot of their replacement for the Isla 40.

Let´s take a look a look at the new boat: the new Fountaine Pajot 41.

The new entry boat will slot into their new Electric range.

The yacht will have a double helm and manoeuvring station like its big sister, the Aura 51 that’s already proved popular across other Fountaine Pajot catamarans. It´s a mid-helm on the starboard side, with a great view of the water and the sails. You maintain contact with the crew in the cockpit, as well as those on the sundeck.

As for relaxation areas, there are sun loungers on the bimini and forward on the coachroof, plus a lounger integrated into the port transom.

Configurations

The New 41 is available in an owner’s “maestro” version: the port hull is the owner’s side. The “quatuor” or charter version has 4 cabins and 2 to 4 bathrooms. In all the cabins, there are impressive sea views through large windows and wide berths thanks to the stepped hulls.

Go Electric

The Electric version features a large array of solar panels, up to 2000 WC integrated into the coachroof. Together with equipment such as wind turbines and hydro-generators, they help charge the lithium battery bank and balance the energy consumption generated by on-board use during cruising.

Fountaine Pajot has developed an in-house solution for its catamarans with hybrid electric motors. All on-board production and energy use flows are managed from a single console designed for a simple user experience. The system gives priority to the use of renewable energies with a generator back-up for safety.
