The New Lagoon 43 at Cannes Yachting Festival

The new Lagoon 43 will be premiered at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 10 – 15 September 2024.

This new model which slots in between the 42 (still in production) and the 46 should be one of the main draws of the show given Lagoon’s success in this market.

We had a chat with Lagoon about the new boat and what differentiates it from the rest of the range and the competition.

Design

Some of the key design aims of this new sailing catamaran are the following:

  • Ease of movement
  • Generous living space
  • An adaptable platform for sailing and relaxing.

On the new 43, Lagoon has developed an additional way of getting on and off the boat aft, with a new side access. This makes it easier and safer to move between the boat and the dock. and if you are climbing aboard the traditional way, the aft transoms are separated from the cockpit by a
single step.

Livability: Volume and Space

The new hull design of the Lagoon 43 allows for generous interior volumes with larger berths in all of the cabins – offering unmatched living space for a boat in this class.

In the Owner’s Cabin, there is a large forward berth with an en suite head and shower aft with ample storages. The layout matches those found in much larger yachts.

All living areas are bright thanks to the “interior turned toward the exterior”, with 360° views.

The spacious saloon has been designed to help people enjoy each other’s company.

On the main deck, the sliding glass door and the dining area have been designed so that you can arrange the table in various configurations: 6 seats on the interior, or 6 seats on the exterior, in the cockpit. Or 8 to 12 seats in a configuration that Lagoon call ‘inside out.’

Open the sliding doors fully and join the sofas in the cockpit with those in the interior dining area, and enjoy the exterior and interior spaces combined, as one large space.
