Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran
Two Oceans Marine Launches the Custom-Built Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran
Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing is in the final year of construction on the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran, an 87-foot custom vessel combining advanced functionality with luxurious living. Designed by Du Toit Yacht Design, this model sets a new standard in spacious, long-range cruising.
A Proven Partnership in Catamaran Innovation
The Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran showcases the expertise of Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing and Du Toit Yacht Design. Since their partnership began, the two companies have delivered fourteen bespoke catamarans ranging in size from 60 to 110 feet, as well as semi-custom designs like the Two Oceans 555 and 675 Power Catamarans, and the Balance 442, 482, and 750. Several of their projects have received international accolades for their design and build quality.
Established in 1989, Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing is globally recognized for its proficiency in building large, custom multihulls. Du Toit Yacht Design, based in Cape Town, is known for designing more catamaran tonnage and length than any other firm in the Southern Hemisphere.
An Optimized Layout for Comfort and Functionality
Spread across four carefully designed levels, the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran offers a versatile layout that balances social areas with private retreats. On the main deck, a central saloon, a fully equipped galley, and outdoor cockpits at the fore and aft create inviting spaces for leisure and gatherings. Below deck, each hull houses two en-suite staterooms, providing privacy and comfort for guests.
The upper deck is dedicated to the owner, featuring a personal suite with walk-in closets, a coffee station, and access to a private aft cockpit. Above, the flybridge is designed for relaxation, with a bar, lounge area, and panoramic views of the surrounding seascape.
Crew accommodations are conveniently located on the main deck, with separate quarters in each hull to ensure both functionality and privacy for guests.
Attention to Detail and High-Quality Finishes
Inside, the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran showcases exceptional craftsmanship and the use of premium materials. The saloon, staterooms, and other living areas have been designed with both aesthetics and practicality in mind. The aft cockpit features a large teak dining table, perfect for open-air meals, while the interior dining, entertainment, and lounge spaces ensure all comforts are met.
Equipped for On-Water Adventures
The catamaran’s design includes ample provisions for entertainment on the water. A tender is stored on the owner’s deck, deployed with a hydraulic crane, while the foredeck can hold two jet skis and other equipment such as dive compressors. This setup ensures the catamaran is well-equipped for fun on the water.
A Long-Range Cruising Vessel
Built to travel far and wide, the Two Oceans 870 Power Catamaran has a fuel capacity of 11,400 litres and a water storage capacity of 3,000 litres, making it ideal for extended journeys. Its robust systems and efficient layout ensure comfort and reliability, whether navigating coastal waters or exploring remote destinations.
