The Finnish Line
The two stars of the channel (and yes, they are becoming stars) are Finns Juho & Sohvi who bought Lumi after an long search in California in 2022. She had sat gathering oxide at the boatyard for 15 years and was in a sad state. After a five month refit she is once again strutting her stuff in the Arctic.

Juho takes much of the footage and he’s getting good at it. Other than that, he’s into skiing, kitesurfing (in a dry suit), fixing the boat or planning our next sail. He also gathers field work data for snow and ice related projects.
Sohvi is a fellow sailor who loves the outdoors, tortillas and binge-watching Netflix! She work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Arctic Centre (University of Lapland). When the weather is good, you’ll see her on her splitboard or yoga mat enjoying the cold fresh air.
They have been joined by Nova– a chilled out dog from Greenland. Tender? No problem. Ice walk? No problem. In the yacht? No problem.
